Farhan Akhtar And Shibani Dandekar’s Intimate Wedding Highlights
Long-time sweethearts, Farhan Akhtar, an actor, filmmaker and singer, and his girlfriend, singer, actor, and model Shibani Dandekar, exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony held in Khandala at Javed Akhtar’s farmhouse Sukoon. The pair had been dating for four years before deciding to marry.
While the groom wore a black tuxedo suit, the bride shined in a red gown, and their followers are still salivating over their wedding photos to this day. Shibani Dandekar and Farhan Akhtar’s wedding broke a lot of stereotypes, one of which was attire of the bride. Dandekar has always been recognized for her spunky and glitzy fashion choices. And, in keeping with her distinctive flair, the bride did not go for conventional gowns or designers who have become celebrity favourites. Instead, Shibani, opted to keep it youthful, exciting, and new, delivering a message to all brides-to-be who feel restricted to choose wedding basics.
The celebrity bride ditched the traditional Lehenga in favour of a mesmerizing JADE by Monica and Karishma gown that was the right blend of traditional and modern, Indian and Western, heavy and light. Instead of walking down the aisle in a white gown, Dandekar opted to keep it Indian by adding a dash of traditional red colour in her wedding attires. Dandekar’s red mermaid gown and lengthy veil have been the talk of the town since her wedding photos went viral all around the internet. The ornate veil with a long trail created an ethereal and grandiose atmosphere. Dandekar accessorized her look with Goenka India’s iconic Ruby danglers and pointed-toe Aquazurra heels in a matching bright red colour.
In a black tuxedo with a white lapel flower and classic black sunglasses, Farhan Akhtar looked very handsome. On Instagram, the groom credited the tuxedo to Indian designer Govinda Mehta. We like Farhan’s all-black ensemble, which perfectly complemented his partner’s modern red gown on their wedding day. Farhan was seen standing with his groom squad in one of the photos, as they all posed in a black suit for the camera.
Following the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds went out to meet the paparazzi and were also seen distributing sweets. We’re delighted to see that the bride and groom chose something minimalist yet traditional for their wedding attire. It’s time to say goodbye to overly ornate and over-the-top Sabyasachi-inspired ensembles in favour of something new, simple, and vibrantly desi, like Farhan and Shibani did.
